Went on a Wednesday to here due to their "live music" Wednesdays. As we were listening to the Texas-style music, our server was quick on his feet and had a very positive attitude. When I ordered and soon after got my fajitas, I took a combined chunk of chicken, steak, onions, and shredded lettuce and placed that into one of the tortillas. After biting in, I was treated with an aroma of tastes unlike most of the restaurants I've been to. Overall, due to this experience I believe that Pepe's should be a go to Mexican restaurant for many others.

The overall experience was great. However, I ordered the lunch taquitos that was served with a guacamole salad, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Both the chicken and beef had no flavor or seasoning on the meat itself. I ordered a beef hard taco served with cheese and lettuce and the ground beef was seasoned and flavorful.

Saturday night trip therefore about a 10 minute wait. Well, worth the trip as the greeter was very efficient and seated us to be greeted by Alberto. Friendly service was ingrained as we received the drinks within the first five minutes. Steak fajitas I recommend and very reasonably priced. my granddaughter's burrito was sizable as she rarely takes anything home and we expect we found a new place when visiting Richmond!

This was such a pleasant surprise as a dinner break from a long road trip. The service was awesome and super fast. It doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside is a little dated but charming and clean. The food was authentic, fresh and delicious. Great quality and inexpensive. Highly recommend.

My first time here, came with friend who been there before and loved it. It was a Thursday night I believe and they had a band outside playing. I loved that, we decided to sit outside, the weather was nice as well. The band was really good, and we really enjoyed the nice music. They start with nachos, salsa and cheese dip which was good. I got the el guapo based of reviews and I am glad I did, I recommend it. I gave 4 stars because they got my order wrong but I love this place, one of the best Mexican restaurants in this area for sure. Fast service and you get a lot of food as well. I asked for some spicy sauce with my food and they brought 3 different ones. We were impressed how good and spicy they were. I would have given 5 stars easily but I was kinda upset the waiter got my order wrong after explaining how I want my food. I recommend this place. Service was great. I shall return.

It's really sad that I have to come from NoVa to the burbs of Richmond for good Mexican food that is not overpriced! I got the standard grande chicken burrito and wifey got the burrito Del Mar. her burrito was ridiculously full of good size shrimp. She could barely finish a third of it! Pepe's get the basics of Mexican food done right! Fast seating, fast service, reasonable prices, and you know it's good because it was packed on a Friday night. My new Mexican place when I visit Richmond!

They have the traditional Mexican fare but also some unusual combinations that are delicious Staff is friendly and service is quick.

love the service , food , & drinks This was my 2nd time at this location. I really love how fast the service here goes. Very well orchestrated. They start you off with nachos , cheese dip & salsa. The nachos are in house made , very hot& fresh everytime.. I ordered the Margarona (Raspberry) pictured The drink was sweet & very good to taste . I can taste the corona mixed with the liquor & splash of raspberry. For my meal I ordered the Cazuelon Extra (no steak). I literally almost ate the plate it was very well prepared & taste wise like my own. Everything tasted fresh. I really like how pleasant & swift the waiters are. They are very attentive & quick when it came to more nachos, drinks , and the meals.. They were constantly checking on us while waiting for food & while eating..
